Second, it is Paint Party Friday!
This week I've had a lot going on and haven't been doing much painting... but I am working in my art journal. Right now all I have is base layers to build upon. One even is in the second stage of having been painted! Here are my WIPs
We shall see what becomes of them when I have some extra time on my hands!
Third, it is a Happy Friday. Things that are making me happy this Friday:
1. As soon as I done writing this I am in the car to go to one of my favorite side jobs ever where I get to play with art materials and talk about identity with internationally adopted kids! I love it. I wish it was a full time gig.
2. Having spent all of last week with my family. Also getting the chance to throw a rockstar a surprise party for his eighth birthday!
The crown went on after the initial surprise, so I asked him to look surprised and this is what we got:
a too cute story to go along with it. His little 5 year old cousin (who he hadnt seen since 3 years before) wanted to make him a birthday card. So she was asking her mom for help with spelling and said, "we should write, 'to the best friend I've ever had, to...' what's his name again, mom?"
haha. I love it.
What is making you happy this Friday?!
