Personal Library Workshop: August, 1st Check-in

So in July I decided that I really needed to go through my personal library for inspiration and a creativity kick. Each month I am opening up one of my neglected inspiring books and using it as a reference for my own art. I invite you to join me in using the resources you have for your own workshop bootcamp. Just leave a link in the comments on this post!

The month of August I am working out of the Artist Trading Card Workshop by Bernie Berlin.

In the book Berlin introduces the idea of "intuitive watercolor" where you allow watercolor to be freeflowing and without an intended form. You then look at the dried painting to find images within the organic lines and shapes created.

What do you see?

Is it the same as what I see?

Today I am continuing my gratitude give away for passing 100 followers.

One follower will win a stash of creative supplies to make their own ATCs (or whatever else their paint covered hands are itchy to do) that will include various papers, collage images, ribbons, stamps, stickers, and beads.

Since this is a Thank You to my followers, you do need to publicly follow my blog in order to be included in the drawing.
(if you are not already a follower, you are more than welcome to become one. but please, do so because you enjoy the blog and not for the give-away. thanks!)

All you have to do is say you are a follower in a comment on this post.

If you are feeling extra chatting, I would love to know what type of posts of mine you most enjoy reading and/or what you would like to see more of.

The give away closes Saturday the 13th and the winner will be announced on Monday the 15th.

My favorite posts of yours are your creative ones, especially this one. You do not have that much time to do posts like this one and I love it when you do!

The one with the tree and sun we agreed on. I couldn't get anything definite from the others, except where you saw wings, I saw bananas and a pear. It's a wonderful exercise, though, and your colors are enormously beautiful.
