Happy Friday!
When I was in undergraduate college, there was a guy on campus, who every Friday would carry red balloons around with him and greet everyone he met with "Happy Friday." I got to know him and he was so inspiring. Before college he had been in a severely bad car accident that resulted in multiple physical and cognitive disabilities. Even though it took away his talents as an athlete and set him back drastically physically and mentally, he was just so positive about life. And part of that positivity was recognizing that every Friday is a celebration. He had made it one more week!
Although he and I have lost touch, and I don't even remember his name, every Friday I think of him.
Every Friday his positive spirit still reminds me that no matter what is going on in life at the moment, it is still a celebration to have made it through one more week.
I think he has forever changed my life and my outlook.
This Friday. I am celebrating these things that make me happy:
Doodles I did during a training.

These look like fun! :)A lovely story, too. Wish I had know someone with red baloons on Fridays. :)
O what Fun! Very interesting details and colors indeed!
Oh how I love this story ! It makes me think of when I was teaching, and on Friday afternoon, the teachers would see the kids off on their buses and then do a little conga line down the hall, singing "Yay, today is Friday !!".
It also goes so well with my red tutu celebration !
Celebrate Everything ! Cheers !

He sounds like such an amazing person to continue touching your life each week, and what a beautiful image you conjured. I LOVE your doodles- especially the zentangle one and the journal page; BEAUTIFUL! I really need to start playing like that again, it always leads to the best ideas.
Happy PPF,

Great doodles! I am drawn to the WaterSong one most this week. Happy PPF!
Your doodles are wonderful. If I were sitting in a meeting with you I wouldn't be paying attention to anything but what you are drawing.
Thanks for posting this great story. From now on, even though I never saw him, I'll think of that guy every Friday too. Funny how far someone's influence can reach, huh?
A wonderful way to think of Fridays.
Great doodles! Love the fabulous strong colours.
nice inspiring post and love your colourful doodles!
Wonderful story. I hope he knows he's made a difference in at least one person's outlook. I love your doodles but I think they are really much more than doodles!
I don't think your doodles are doodles, I think they are great pieces of art. Very nice job and great post about being positive in life. I am just grateful for each day that comes my way. Nice post, nice work. Take care.
Those are some wild and crazy doodles! I love them....especially the last three.

Very inspirational. Love your doodles! Have a great weekend.
Great, uplifting story and I love your doodles!
Great sketches! I love how you've incorporated peacock looking feathers in many of them. So much fun.
Isn't it amazing and wonderful the people that leave such memorable imprints in our lives? They are like facets and we are the diamond, without them we wouldn't shine. wow that's kinda deep for 12:12 am haha
I love the image of the boy with the red balloons... It's just lovely.
Great "doodles"!
Thanks for visiting my blog. Hope you'll come back :)
Happy Weekend!
I can see you're having lots of fun!!! HAppy weekend to you!!!
fantastic! I especially love the one with the yellow circles. You said you did these during a training, and I'm picturing a corporate board room type of setting, and then I'm picturing myself in the same situation. My limited drawing skills require my full concentration, and there's no way I could listen to a speaker and keep a low profile while sketching. I'd most likely have my tongue sticking out, arms akimbo, and I might be kind of humming or muttering to myself. I'd be tossed out of class! humbly bow to you "doodles" - thanks for sharing!
oh what a super fun collection of work!!!! These are some amazing doodles!!!!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend...
