My husband actually got jealous as I blatently gushed throughout the movie. I think that's a first for him. Ha.
Besides the fact that Chris Hemsworth will make you drool... the movie is excellent too. The other worlds are stunning. And it is based on the mythology which I love. This is definitely a winner in my opinion.
Marvel has made some serious good movies lately.
Has anyone seen the latest X-Men? Also a winner. Probably the best X-Men thus far.
And then I also saw Bridesmaids, which I had heard a lot of good things about. Wow.... what a freakin' dissapointment. It had some funny lines - but I felt like they were trying too hard; it felt forced. Though, there were certain lines that had me laughing so hard I had to push pause so I could hear what was being said after. So I wouldn't say it was horrible or even bad, just not what it was cracked up to be. I can't believe all the fuss Bridesmaids got. Apparently my facebook friends (where I get this sort of info...) and I are not on the same page as far as movies.
I usually wait until movies are released to DVD to see them, but now that I have a job I might scrap up a few pennies to go see Killer Elite and The Help during the cheaper matinees. Although, there are a lot of movies that just hit theaters that I'm looking forward to seeing in a couple months when they are available on DVD. Like Drive and Moneyball. Man - I miss the days where if I wanted to see a movie I just went and saw it. But really, if that is what I'm complaining about then my penny pinching woes are seriously not bad!

YES!!! suuuuch a good choice! I was glad i saw this movie after my twinkie's insisting (she too fell in lust with him at first sight! ha) and everything you said is true-- not only is he beautiful but his character and the mythology-- and the love story! bliss.
i can't wait to see "moneyball!" and "the help"-- you will loveee it. The last movie we went and saw was "contagion" to see marianne's matt damon (she's always telling me to go see her celeb bf's films lol)

I see most of my movies through Netflix so nothing really new. Even though as senior citizens we can go to early matinees for less, we never do!
Brad Pitt is one of my favorites, as well as Johnny Depp, George Clooney, and Matt Damon. Yep, I'm robbing the cradle!!
I loved "Thor", it was a seriously well done movie! He looks just like Brad Pitt so I can see why you have a crush! :)
I have not yet seen the new XMan movie but I am waiting to have a good (pain)day so I can watch it with my boys.
I saw "The Help" and thought it was an awesome movie, so well done and I know that you will love it. I am so out of it when it comes to new movies that I don't even know what's here and coming! I do know however that the latest Twilight Saga is coming soon, apparently part 1 of 2. I am looking forward to that but realize I shouldn't set my expectations too high as it can't compete with her awesome books!
I'm not sure that I have any favorite actors out there, it used to be Keanu Reeves (and my hubbub was jealous):) I still like him.

Aww thanks for the shout out :) I seriously look forward to Man Candy Mondays :) A little (sexy) sunshine to start the week off right! And what an AMAZING choice for a first MCM eddition :) I feel in LOVE/LUST with Thor hardcore! It's so funny because I didn't even really care to see it when Philip suggested it. I wanted to see Johnny Depp (another fave!) in the Pirates movie. But afterwards, I was SO glad we saw it :) I called Micaela immediately and said she had to go right away. I just love, love, love the story. I love the Natalie Portman angle. I love it all! I like to think of him waiting for me in another world :) And X-Men - just as good. James McAvoy was amazing. Another one of my favourites :) If only movies weren't so expensive. It's unbelievable how much a movie date ends up being. Thanks for indulging me my love Thor :)
I saw Thor just last week and really liked it and yes I can understand you drooling over Chris, what a fine specimen of a man her is. I loved Xmen FIrst class as James Mc Avoy is a favorite. Some of my favorites are Gerard Butler, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Johnny Depp. Loved this post., what fun!
woo hoo! great candy ;) I have to say that I am kinda in to Brad Pitt, too. I really fell for him in Legends of the Fall.
I'm with you on people not being on the same page movie wise. Thanks for the heads up on Bridesmaids, which I thought would be great according to the hype. Killer Elite looks good. I like to wait for the show to come out on Starz or Showtime cause it gets costly and we're on a budget too, just like everybody else ;)
